Job summary

Bentley Truck Services, Inc. is seeking an Outside Truck Parts Sales Representative to grow our regional parts business. This role focuses on building partnerships with fleet operators, repair shops, and municipal clients across an assigned territory to expand parts sales and customer relationships.

No extensive mechanical background is required—training is provided. The ideal candidate is motivated, professional, and able to drive results in a fast-paced transportation environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred.
• Self-motivated professional and willingness to learn the commercial truck industry.
• Results-oriented and driven to achieve goals and contribute to the company’s growth.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage Sales Territory: Serve as the primary representative within an assigned territory, conducting regular in-person visits to fleet operators, repair shops, and municipal clients to build and maintain strong partnerships.
• Develop Product Expertise: Participate in company-provided training to develop a strong understanding of heavy-duty and medium-duty truck parts, enabling you to confidently recommend solutions that meet customer needs.
• Generate and Maintain Business: Proactively identify new sales opportunities while nurturing existing accounts to foster long-term customer relationships and sustained revenue growth.

Outside Truck Parts Sales Representative Job Summary

Primary Responsibilities

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Basic knowledge of heavy-duty truck parts or mechanical systems preferred (training provided).
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred.
• Self-motivated professional and a willingness to learn the commercial truck industry.

• Effective time manager and one that knows how to effectively take initiative in the field.

• Valid driver’s license with clean driving records.

Working Conditions

This position involves regular travel within an assigned territory and may require lifting materials consistent with industry standards.

Moderate to high noise levels due to proximity to shop areas.

Occasional exposure to fumes and shop environment conditions.

Work performed indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.
