PGA TOUR, Inc. is seeking an Outside Operations Staff member at TPC San Antonio to provide top-tier service to Members and guests. You will greet arrivals, assist with golf car operations, and support the smooth flow of the golf experience throughout the club.

Responsibilities include loading bags, maintaining clean, stocked golf cars, guiding guests, and coordinating with the Golf Shop. This role requires a high school diploma and customer-service experience, with shifts based on business

Responsibilities

Assist PGA TOUR players, Members and guests with their golfing needs, ensuring that every step of their golf experience at the club runs as smoothly and is as enjoyable as possible.
Greet and welcome members and guests.
At opening assist in pulling all golf cars from the golf car facility to the bag staging area.
Remove golf bags from member’s and guest's car and load them on a golf cart; drive to the staging area as needed.
Provide members and guests with thoroughly cleaned and good operating cars stocked with towels, scorecards, pencils, and divot repair material.
Drive dirty golf cars to the car washing area; wash car, wipe down car, stock golf car with clean towels and supplies.
Ensure that the Golf Car Facility is always clean and orderly; update service records.
Set up the practice facility for play and maintain range balls; rotate areas per maintenance program.
Assist members and guests as they depart, ensuring clubs are cleaned and appropriately placed in vehicles.
Work with Golf Shop staff to ensure rules and policies are followed.

Location and Overview

Located in the heart of the Texas Hill Country, TPC San Antonio is a private resort, accessible exclusively to Members, their guests and guests of the adjoining JW Marriott San Antonio Hill Country Resort & Spa. TPC San Antonio provides our Members and Resort guests the avenue to enjoy 36-holes of championship golf, along with a host of resort benefits, from fine dining to luxury spa treatments to hours at the on-site Riverbluff Water Experience. Position

The Outside Operations Staff provide critical service to our members and guests. Usually, they are the first Club representative to meet and greet members and guests when they arrive at the Club.

QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma or equivalent education

Previous experience working in customer service, preferably in a country club or equivalent

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES

Assist PGA TOUR players, Members and guests with their golfing needs, ensuring that every step of their golf experience at the club runs as smoothly and is as enjoyable as possible

Greet and welcome members and guests

At opening assist in pulling all golf cars from the golf car facility to the bag staging area

Remove golf bags from member’s and guest's car and load them on a golf cart. Where applicable, drive the golf car to the staging area

Give all members and guests miscellaneous information that may help them in playing the course. (e.g. yardage markers on sprinkler heads are measured to the middle of the green.)

Provide members and guests with thoroughly cleaned and good operating cars that are stocked with towels, scorecards, pencils, and divot repair material.

Drive dirtied golf cars to the car washing area; wash car, wipe down car, stock golf car with clean towels, pencil, score card, and divot repair material

At closing, drive golf cars into golf car facility and plug them into the battery charger

Ensure that the Golf Car Facility is always clean and orderly

Perform periodic car maintenance and minor special repairs.

Update car service records

Service the practice facility by driving the picker and mechanically picking up golf balls in the area.

Set up the practice facility for play. Continually replenish the supply of practice facility balls. Using a golf cart, patrol the practice tee and pick up trash and practice golf ball bags. Rotate practice facility area in accordance with tee maintenance program. Collect, clean and bag balls at the end of play, ensuring that all range balls are in excellent condition at all times by culling damaged balls

Assist members and guests as they depart from the facility, ensuring that all golf clubs are cleaned, and that a staff Member carries and places golf clubs in member's or guest’s vehicle

Work closely with the Golf Shop staff to ensure that all club rules including dress code and beverage policy are followed by members and guests

Ensure that no member or guest carries his or her clubs to or from the practice facility or in the parking lot or clubhouse areas

Special projects or other duties as assigned

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to a variety of outdoor weather conditions. Position is very active and requires lifting, pulling or pushing up to or over 25 pounds, moving and/or lift items with awkward weights. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception, color vision, distance and peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.
