Pay range: $28.39‑$29.48 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Install ship equipment, including general machinery, main machinery, weapons systems, and remote operating gear.
• Lay out, tack, grind, drill, ream, spot face, bolt, torque, and test components.
• Perform layout work and use measuring tools including tape measure, interior and exterior micrometers, Vernier or dial calipers.

Qualifications

• Preferred: High School Diploma or GED.
• Required: Experience using basic shop tools, tacking, hand tools, torqueing, and portable drilling tools.
• Required: Trade or technical school in a mechanical field, or more than 1 year of experience in a mechanical trade.
• Required: Ability to read blueprints in detail.
• Required: Ability to perform layout, read measuring tools, use tape measure, micrometers, Vernier or dial calipers and perform simple math calculations.
• Required: Must meet the requirements of the O04 physical task analysis.
