Compensation Overview

The annual base salary range provided for this position is a nationwide market range and represents a broad range of salaries for this role across the country. The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment. As part of our comprehensive compensation and benefits program, employees are also eligible for performance-based cash incentive awards.

Salary Range: $62,200.00 - $102,600.00

What Is the Opportunity?

Under direct supervision, this position has responsibility for inspecting, estimating, negotiating, and evaluating 1st and 3rd party auto physical damage claims, including both personal and business insurance claims. The claim types will be basic to moderate physical damage coverages as it relates to damage assessment. This includes collision, comprehensive, property damage related to autos, rental and towing as well as fire, theft, flood, lightning, diminished value claims and any claims that involve injuries. The actual resolution and settlement of these claims will be the responsibility of the Auto Claim Professional. This position will serve as a technical resource for auto claim staff and will provide advice and direction to claim professionals on claim damages to achieve optimal outcomes. This position is based 100% remotely and may include a combination of mobile work and/or work from your primary residence. This job does not lead others.

What Will You Do?
  1. Deliver consistent service quality throughout the claim life cycle, including prompt contact, explaining the process, setting expectations, ongoing effective communication, and follow-through to meet commitments for optimal outcomes.
  2. Manage work assignments efficiently and promptly travel to the location of vehicle/equipment when needed, arranging to view the vehicle/equipment if not readily accessible.
  3. Scope claims using technical expertise and information gathered to accurately determine the physical claim value, utilizing company recognized resources, estimating, and evaluation software.
  4. Establish the physical damage claim value of assigned losses.
  5. Prepare and document accurate vehicle/equipment damage appraisals, Actual Cash and Replacement values according to regulatory and corporate guidelines.
  6. Partner with the assigned Claim Professional throughout the claim process to ensure proper resolution and pursue recovery sources like subrogation.
  7. Negotiate claims with customers and repair facilities to reach agreement on value and payments.
  8. For Total Loss claims, determine settlement amounts, including coverage and deductibles.
  9. Convey claim settlements within authority and initiate payments, including total loss and rental reimbursement.
  10. Assist with inspection and damage assessment for various lines of business and departments, including catastrophe response.
  11. Track work assignments, savings, and referrals.
  12. Review coverage, apply policy conditions, and conduct damage management including repair process management when appropriate.
  13. Maintain timely and appropriate claim and expense reserves.
  14. Develop and update an action plan and manage vehicle repair timelines.
  15. Communicate damage assessments after negotiations and obtain authorization for payments.
  16. Maintain necessary insurance licenses and participate in the Catastrophe Response Program, which may include deployment for at least 16 days.
  17. Perform other duties as assigned.
