Job summary

Walker-Miller Energy Services in Detroit is seeking an Outreach Specialist to promote a home energy rebate program in Michigan communities. Qualifications

Position Summary
  • The Outreach Specialist is responsible for promoting a home energy rebate program in residential areas through effective community engagement. This role involves identifying and developing relationships with contractors and community-based partner organizations; organizing and attending events; and delivering presentations to raise awareness, engagement, and participation within the program. The primary goal is to deepen customer/contractor awareness and engagement with the program, specifically targeting income-qualified residents and hard-to-engage communities within the state of Michigan. The successful candidate will collaborate with stakeholders, including local government and CBOs, to streamline the implementation of projects. The Outreach Specialist will also contribute to educational initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 2 years of experience in community outreach and event planning.

  • Travel Requirements — Willingness to travel at least 50% of the time.
