Adult Outreach Program

Location: Aberdeen, Maryland

Details: Full-Time, $19/hour, 8:00am-4:30pm Monday - Friday

Who We Need

We are looking for a full-time Rehab Counselor to join our Aberdeen team.

What We Need

• Experience or education related to the mental health field and a desire to grow.
• Knowledge of the DSM and common diagnoses within the PRP programs.
• Proficiency in assessments, treatment planning, advocacy, and case management.
• Strong written, interpersonal, and oral communication skills.
• Understanding and sensitivity to serving culturally diverse and/or special needs populations while maintaining confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities Include

• Conducting and documenting psychoeducational groups onsite and offsite.
• Teaching community skills including ADLs.
• Completing documentation such as treatment plans and progress notes accurately and timely.
• Transporting PRP members safely to and from the program and offsite activities.
• Providing assessment, case management, psychoeducation, crisis intervention, advocacy, and community liaison services.
• Driving 15 passenger vans.

What You Need

• High school diploma and 2 years of experience in psychiatric rehab, mental health, human services, or customer service (preferred).
• OR an AA degree in psychology, sociology, psychiatric rehab, mental health, or related field with no experience required.
• Valid Maryland driver’s license (or state of residence) active for at least 3 years.
• Pass criminal background check, MVA check, and drug screen.
• Own vehicle.
