Job summary

Via is seeking an outreach practitioner for our Gloucestershire Service to deliver street-based drug and alcohol interventions to rough sleepers and those at risk of homelessness.

You will manage a small, complex caseload, deliver assessments and evidence-based interventions, support recovery and aftercare planning, and provide high quality, person-centred, low-threshold services tailored to diverse needs. This is a permanent, full-time role, based on-site in Gloucester, with a 37.5-hour week.

Qualifications

  • Good listener with curiosity and empathy.
  • Ability to engage with people who are rough sleeping or at risk of homelessness.

Responsibilities

We’re looking for an outreach practitioner for our Gloucestershire Service

As an outreach practitioner you will deliver excellent drug and alcohol street-based interventions to individuals who are rough sleeping, or at risk of homelessness and those in supported accommodation, to facilitate positive outcomes. You will manage a small complex case load and coordinate and deliver assessments and evidence-based interventions (brief and structured), recovery planning and aftercare planning and you will provide high quality, person centred, low threshold services, responding to the individual and diverse needs and preferences of those who use our services and their significant others.
