Job summary

HealthNet is seeking an Outreach Enrollment Specialist in Indianapolis, IN to educate and assist with enrollment for uninsured and underinsured individuals. The role supports the organization’s mission across its network and involves traveling to health centers to promote health insurance options.

Responsibilities include building partnerships, coordinating with internal teams, handling referrals, and participating in community events.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• Indiana Navigator Certification is preferred but can be obtained after hiring.
• Knowledge of Medicaid, ACA, HIP 2.0 is a plus.
• Driver’s License is required.
• Reliable transportation is required; travel to all health centers may be needed.

• Participate in community events to promote the services of the Outreach Enrollment team as well as the HealthNet organization.
• Attend all required trainings.

The Outreach & Enrollment Team Is Responsible For

• Providing outreach and enrollment assistance for all uninsured individuals.

When You’ll Work As An Outreach Enrollment Specialist

• Full-Time
• Potential schedule includes Monday-Friday 8-5, with occasional evening shifts to accommodate events.

Other tasks and functions may be assigned as needed to fulfill the mission of the organization.

What you’ll need as an Outreach Enrollment Specialist at HealthNet:

• Currently not sponsoring work visa.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Indiana Navigator Certification preferred but can be obtained after hiring.
• Knowledge in Medicaid, Affordable Care Act (ACA), HIP 2.0 a plus.
• False Claims Act (FCA) experience a plus.
• Knowledge of enrollment procedures.
• Driver’s License required.
• Reliable transportation required, required to travel to all health centers.

Physical Requirement

• Able to be involved in degrees of prolonged standing, walking, sitting, bending, squatting, and stooping; as well as abilities of repeated bending, stooping, and squatting.
• Able to lift, push, and/or pull light to moderately heavy weight up to 20-30 pounds is a necessary function of this position.
• Able to perform duties during periods of varied and/or prolonged work hours.
• Must be able to read, write, hear, and communicate effectively in the English language by both orally and written.
