Job summary

HealthNet is seeking an Outreach Enrollment Specialist at its Bloomington Health Center. You will educate and enroll uninsured individuals, partner with community organizations, and assist patients across HealthNet centers.

The role requires driving to multiple health centers and representing HealthNet at community events. The position emphasizes independent work, strong customer service, and empathetic communication to support diverse patient populations and connect them with affordable care

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Indiana Navigator Certification preferred but can be obtained after hiring.
• Knowledge of Medicaid, ACA, HIP 2.0 a plus.
• Driver's License required.
• Reliable transportation required; travel to all health centers.

What you'll do as an Outreach Enrollment Specialist at HealthNet:

The Outreach and Enrollment Specialist provides education and enrollment assistance for uninsured and underinsured children and adults.

The Outreach & Enrollment Team is responsible for:

• Establishing community partnerships and increasing awareness of HealthNet and their services.
• Providing outreach and enrollment assistance for all uninsured individuals.
• Collaborating with other HealthNet departments/programs to facilitate in-reach efforts for existing patients.
• Receive and follow up on referrals (internal and external) in a timely manner.
• Identify, establish, and maintain ongoing relationships with individuals, groups, and organizations in the community to increase awareness of health insurance options and create referral opportunities.
• Participate in community events to promote the services of the Outreach Enrollment team as well as the HealthNet organization.
• Attend all required trainings.

When you'll work as an Outreach Enrollment Specialist:

• Full-Time
• Potential schedule includes Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday 8am-5pm, Thursday 8am-8pm, Friday 8am-1pm

Other tasks and functions may be assigned as needed to fulfill the mission of the organization.

What you'll need as an Outreach Enrollment Specialist at HealthNet:

• Currently not sponsoring work visa.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Indiana Navigator Certification preferred but can be obtained after hiring.
• Knowledge in Medicaid, Affordable Care Act (ACA), HIP 2.0 a plus.
• False Claims Act (FCA) experience a plus.
• Knowledge of enrollment procedures.
• Driver's License required.
• Reliable transportation required, required to travel to all health centers.

Physical Requirement:

• Able to be involved in degrees of prolonged standing, walking, sitting, bending, squatting, and stooping; as well as abilities of repeated bending, stooping, and squatting.
• Able to lift, push, and/or pull light to moderately heavy weight up to 20-30 pounds is a necessary function of this position.
• Able to perform duties during periods of varied and/or prolonged work hours.
• Must be able to read, write, hear, and communicate effectively in the English language by both orally and written.
