Job summary

Eastern Kentucky University seeks an Outreach Coordinator & Middle Grades/Secondary Teacher to promote Model Laboratory School to families, students, and community stakeholders while delivering instruction aligned with the Laboratory School philosophy.

The role combines marketing with classroom teaching for grades 5-12, requiring collaboration with school leadership and university staff. Based on the Richmond campus, it requires some evening/weekend commitments.

Qualifications

• Experience with engaging stakeholder groups.
• Possess or be eligible for teacher/adjunct certification middle/secondary grades 5-12.

Responsibilities

• Outreach Coordinator: develop and share content with target audiences; support recruitment by promoting EKU to families and students; track reach and impact of campaigns; create plans aligned with goals; meet with community groups and alumni; attend meetings and events, including some evenings and weekends.
• Middle Grades/Secondary Educator: follow program of study to meet student needs; maintain conducive learning environment; implement Laboratory School philosophy; maintain records; cooperate with university and school policies; participate in committees and professional development.
