Job Posting – Outreach Athletic Trainer (Visitation Academy)

SSM Health Sports Medicine is seeking a certified athletic trainer for an outreach athletic trainer position. SSM Health is partnered with SportsCare USA, Inc. for Sports Medicine services. This position and the associated salary and benefits will be provided through SportsCare USA, Inc. in partnership with SSM Health.

Job Summary:

The athletic trainer will be assigned to provide athletic training services at an assigned high school. This is a 12-month position, averaging forty (40) hours per week. The weekly schedule will be coordinated with the High School Athletic Director. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

1. Providing athletic training services for home practices and games during the school year for all varsity, JV, and freshman teams at the contracted school.
2. Providing athletic training services during summer months for summer camps hosted by the school, limited to incoming or current students.
3. Performing injury evaluations, rehabilitation, and treatment for injured athletes.
4. Maintaining medical records of injuries, treatments, and rehabilitation using Healthy Roster.
5. Collaborating with healthcare providers, including SSM Health physicians, to ensure quality care.
6. Managing the administration of athletic training services, including supply inventory and ordering supplies.
7. Providing CPR training to coaches and athletic department staff.
8. Attending monthly SSM Health Sports Medicine meetings.
9. Assisting with annual pre-participation physicals (2-3 times each summer).
10. Maintaining current certification and state licensure to practice.

Requirements:

1. Graduated from a CAATE-accredited Athletic Training Program with a degree in Athletic Training.
2. Open to all experience levels, including recent graduates.
3. Currently BOC Certified.
4. Possession or eligibility for a Missouri Athletic Training License.
