SSM Health Sports Medicine is seeking a certified athletic trainer for an outreach position at Lutheran North High School. This 12-month role averages 40 hours per week, with schedules set by the High School Athletic Director.

You will provide athletic training services for freshman through varsity teams, and support summer camps for current students. You will maintain medical records with Healthy Roster, collaborate with SSM Health physicians, oversee supply inventory, and assist with CPR

Qualifications

• Must hold a CAATE-accredited degree in Athletic Training.
• BOC certification is required.
• Missouri licensure or eligibility required.

Responsibilities

• Provide athletic training services for freshman, junior varsity, and varsity teams.
• Support summer camps for current or incoming students at Lutheran North High School.
• Perform injury evaluations, rehabilitation, and treatment.
• Maintain medical records using Healthy Roster.
• Collaborate with SSM Health physicians for athlete care.
• Oversee athletic training services, inventory, and supplies at the school.
• Assist in CPR training for coaches and staff.
• Attend monthly SSM Health Sports Medicine meetings.
• Assist with annual pre-participation physicals when needed.

Job Posting – Outreach Athletic Trainer at Lutheran North High School

SSM Health Sports Medicine is seeking a certified athletic trainer for an outreach athletic trainer position at Lutheran North High School. SSM Health is partnered with SportsCare USA, Inc. for Sports Medicine services. This position and the associated salary and benefits will be provided through SportsCare USA, Inc. in partnership with SSM Health. Job Summary: The athletic trainer will provide athletic training services as needed at our partnered high school, Lutheran North High School. The position is a 12-month position and will average forty (40) hours per week. The weekly job schedule will be set in collaboration with the High School Athletic Director. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Assist in providing athletic training services for home practices and games within the designated school year for freshman, JV, and varsity athletic teams at contracted school.
• Provides athletic training services during the summer months for summer camps hosted by the school only for incoming or current students at the designated high school
• Provide injury evaluations, rehabilitation, and treatment to injured athletes at the contracted school.
• Maintain appropriate medical records for all injuries, treatments, and rehabilitation programs utilizing Healthy Roster
• Collaborates with other healthcare providers, including SSM Health physicians, to ensure the highest quality care is provided to athletes
• Oversees the overall administration of athletic training services at assigned High School, including, but not limited to supply inventory, ordering supplies, etc.
• Assist in providing CPR classes to high school coaches and athletic department staff at assigned school.
• Attend a monthly SSM Health Sports Medicine meeting.
• Assist the SSM Health Sports Medicine staff with annual pre-participation physicals (2-3 times/summer)
• Maintain proper certification and state licensure to practice

Requirements:

• Education: Must have graduated from a CAATE Accredited Athletic Training Program with a degree in Athletic Training.
• Experience: All levels of experience are welcome to apply.
• Certification: Must be currently BOC Certified.
• Licensure: Must have current Missouri Athletic Training License or be eligible for a Missouri Athletic Training License.
