Job summary

Kaiser Permanente is seeking a Pharmacy Technician in California to assist under the supervision of a licensed Pharmacist. Duties include packaging, counting, labeling, and repackaging drugs, with attention to accuracy and safety.

Responsibilities involve operating the pharmacy computer system and supporting general pharmaceutical tasks. Includes working across multiple locations within the Carson, Gardena, Signal Hill, Torrance, Coastline, Normandie North, and Long Beach area and travel up to

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the Kaiser Outpatient Pharmacy Technician Program required.
• Working knowledge of current drug forms, dosage strengths, generic & trade name equivalents.
• Knowledge of Federal & State laws / regulations regarding the provision of pharmaceutical services.
• Ability to learn & operate the pharmacy computer system & other equipment.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time w/ frequent bending, stooping, lifting & reaching.
• Lift or transport items of 1 - 50 lbs.
• Consistently demonstrates the knowledge, skills, abilities, & behaviors necessary to provide superior & culturally sensitive service to each other, to our members & to customers, contracted providers, & vendors.
• Excellent verbal & written communication skills.
• Must pass entrance exam and background check.
