Job summary

IU Health is seeking a RN to join the Wound Clinic in an ambulatory, outpatient setting. You will perform wound care, patient assessments, education, and care coordination with physicians. This PRN role requires availability for at least 16 hours in a six-week period, with clinic hours Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.

to 5:00 p.m., and no travel, weekends, holidays, or on-call requirements. Qualified candidates will have an active Indiana RN license (NLC acceptable), AS degree in nursing, BLS

Qualifications

• BLS certification through the AHA is required.
• ASN required; BSN preferred.
• Active RN license in Indiana or NLC RN license.
• Two years experience in an ambulatory setting preferred.
• Knowledge of procedures and equipment in the clinical area.
• Ability to coordinate multiple patient functions effectively and timely.
• Awareness of legal implications of patient care activities.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled nursing care including wound dressing applications and changes.
• Perform patient assessments and education.
• Coordinate care with physicians and care teams.
• Provide nurse-only visits in an outpatient wound clinic setting.
• Work in a clinic with standard hours and no travel, weekends, or holidays.
