Carilion Clinic is seeking an outpatient Urology RN in Hillsville, VA to provide professional nursing care in a fast-paced ambulatory setting. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, coordinate with the care team, and document in the EMR.

The role requires a Virginia RN license and BLS-HCP; ACLS/PALS may be required by area. Compensation ranges from $27.70 to $41.55 hourly; Carilion offers comprehensive benefits and ongoing education.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a school of professional nursing.
• Current Virginia RN license or eligibility.
• AHA BLS-HCP required; ACLS/PALS may be required based on area.
• Keyboarding and computer literacy including EMR.

• Provides individualized patient care and coordinates care delivery for patients of all ages.
• Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates patient care to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Completes and documents age-specific assessments to support development of care plans.
• Collaborates with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to develop and adjust care plans.
• Administers treatments and medications accurately and documents care in electronic medical records.
• Identifies and addresses patient and family education needs.
• Participates in performance improvement and quality initiatives.
• Advocates for patients and supports their rights and psychosocial needs.
• Applies knowledge of growth and development to provide age-appropriate care.
• Demonstrates clinical competence in a dynamic ambulatory care environment.
• Supports efficient patient flow and resource utilization.

What We Require:

• Education: Graduate of a school of professional nursing required.
• Experience: None.
• Licensure, Certification, and/or Registration: Current Registered Nurse license in the Commonwealth of Virginia required or eligibility to obtain licensure required.
• Life Support: AHA BLS-HCP required. Additional certifications such as ACLS, PALS, or NRP may be required based on assigned work area.
• Other Minimum Qualifications: Keyboarding skills and computer literacy required, including use of electronic medical records.

Career Advancement Program: RNs are eligible to participate in the Career Advancement Program (CAP) to attain various levels of advancement based on performance criteria.

Compensation Range: $27.70 - $41.55 Employee pay is based on a variety of factors, including qualifications, credentials, education, and prior work experience.
