Position: Senior Ultrasound Technologist - Outpatient

  • Salary Range: $111,377 - $167,066 annually
  • Up to $15,000 SOB
  • Day shifts

Position Summary

Under the supervision of the Radiology Administrator, performs routine and special ultrasound procedures, prepares patients, assists radiologists, manages equipment, processes images, and adheres to standards of care and customer service. Exercises professional judgment in procedures and maintains departmental responsibilities.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities
  • Prepares and positions patients, documents images, and follows protocols.
  • Produces quality images and assists during procedures.
  • Performs equipment QA and calibrations, orders supplies.
  • Works in emergency situations, on-call at Armonk Urgi-Center, and at other outpatient sites as needed, including holidays and overnight shifts.
  • Maintains cleanliness and reports equipment issues.
  • Processes images and communicates findings with radiologists and physicians.
Education & Experience Requirements
  • Completion of a certified ultrasound program or equivalent.
  • ARDMS eligibility after 1 year and 1000 clinical hours; ARDMS required for ACR accreditation or ARRT (S)/RT (VS).
  • Experience preferred.
  • BLS certification through AHA, or must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
  • 3-5 years US experience in a hospital setting.
