The Outpatient Therapy Manager oversees and manages the daily operations of the outpatient therapy department, leading staff, developing programs, ensuring quality assurance, and delivering exceptional patient care. The manager collaborates with counselors, administrative staff, and external stakeholders to ensure effective functioning of the department.

Responsibilities

• Team Leadership: Manage and lead a team of outpatient counselors.
• Foster a positive and collaborative team environment that promotes professional growth and day‑to‑day operations.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide feedback, and address performance issues as needed.
• Oversee outpatient counselor schedules to meet productivity metrics.
• Patient Care and Quality Assurance: Oversee delivery of high‑quality patient care by monitoring treatment plans, progress, and outcomes.
• Ensure therapy services align with evidence‑based practices and provide excellent patient experiences.
• Staff Training and Development: Coordinate and provide ongoing training and professional development opportunities for therapy staff.
• Promote a culture of continuous learning and encourage counselors to stay updated on industry trends and advancements.
• Provide new counselor training and orientation.
• Conduct group supervision 1 hr/week and administrative supervision 1 hr/month.
• Collaboration and Communication: Establish and maintain effective communication channels with executive leadership, interdisciplinary teams, and administrative staff.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless patient care coordination and referrals.
• Compliance and Documentation: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, licensing standards, and accreditation guidelines.
• Oversee accurate and timely documentation of patient records and treatment plans.
• Review and monitor counselor rosters monthly.
• Additional duties as assigned.
