Job Summary: Experienced Pelvic Health Therapist needed at VHC Health Rehabilitation in Old Town Alexandria. Join our expanding outpatient clinic, working closely with VHC Health’s largest OBGYN practice and a team of 10 pelvic health specialists. We treat conditions such as incontinence, pelvic pain, organ prolapse, sexual dysfunction, postpartum issues, and gender-affirming procedures. Our team values ongoing education, evidence-based practice, and utilizes advanced equipment like RealTime ultrasound and EMG biofeedback. The scope of practice for physical therapists is influenced by various factors including laws, professional development, and technological advancements. It involves patient management, diagnosis, prognosis, and contributing to public health, aimed at improving physical function and quality of life across all ages.
Education: Bachelor's degree in physical therapy required; Master's or Doctorate preferred.
Experience: At least one year preferred.
Licensure and Certification: Licensed as a Physical Therapist in Virginia and BLS certified required.
Occupational therapy involves using daily activities to enable participation and promote health and wellness, focusing on adapting environments and activities to facilitate successful engagement.
Education: Bachelor's in occupational therapy required; Master's preferred.
Experience: One year preferred.
Licensure and Certification: Licensed as an Occupational Therapist in Virginia and BLS certified required.
