Job Description

Physical Therapist Scope & Requirements
  1. Purpose & Scope: The scope of practice for physical therapists is influenced by professional, jurisdictional, and personal factors, evolving with societal needs, research, and technological advancements. It includes patient management, diagnosis, prognosis, and contributions to public health. The practice is grounded in sciences, supported by education and evidence, and linked to practice frameworks.
  2. Education: Bachelor's degree in physical therapy is required; Master's or doctorate preferred.
  3. Experience: At least one year of experience preferred.
  4. Licensure & Certification: Must be licensed as a Physical Therapist by the Virginia Department of Health Professions and hold BLS certification.
Occupational Therapist Scope & Requirements
  1. Purpose & Scope: Occupational therapy involves using everyday activities to enhance participation in roles and routines across various settings. It focuses on enabling engagement through adaptations, addressing client factors and skills, and promoting health and wellness.
