Job summary

Arrowhead Behavioral Health in Maumee, OH is seeking a Master's level Social Worker to join our Outpatient IOP team. The therapist counsels individuals and leads groups to address stress, substance use, and family issues, developing and implementing treatment plans in a medical setting with a focus on discharge planning.

Evening availability for night class Monday, Tuesday, Thursday 5pm-11pm, with opportunities to train and grow within a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• MSW required from an accredited program.
• LSW or LISW license preferred.
• Experience in outpatient mental health or substance use is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Counsel individuals and facilitate groups addressing stress, substance use, or family issues.
• Develop and implement therapeutic treatment plans.
• Collaborate with patient and family on discharge planning.
• Provide crisis intervention when needed.
• Participate in multidisciplinary treatment team discussions.

The Therapist counsels individuals and facilitates groups regarding psychological or emotional problems such as stress, substance abuse, or family situations and develops and implements therapeutic treatment plans in medical setting and works with the patient and family to create a discharge plan for the patient. Therapist also uses therapeutic interventions to assist the patient in crisis situations. The therapist also participates in the multidisciplinary treatment team to discuss patient care, treatment plan goals and discharge planning.

While previous experience in a mental health or substance abuse treatment facility is preferred, we are willing to train a new graduate excited to learn.

This individual must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. Diplomacy and discretion are essential, as well as excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple projects. Professional demeanor and appearance required.

Position requires the ability to work productively and independently. Must follow the security and confidentiality guidelines as well as the policies and procedures of Arrowhead Behavioral Health.
