Job summary

San Antonio Behavioral Healthcare Hospital seeks a Clinical Therapist to provide quality psychotherapeutic services to patients and families as part of an interdisciplinary team supporting the hospital's treatment program.

You will perform initial and ongoing assessments, develop treatment plans, apply Cognitive Behavioral Therapy techniques, and coordinate discharge planning while documenting in patient records.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in social work or equivalent in recognized mental health field.
• Texas Licensed LCSW, LPC, or LMFT is required.
• Experience in inpatient setting preferred; skills in case management, time management, and crisis intervention.
• Must obtain and maintain CPR certification and Management of Assaultive Behavior training prior to patient care.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive psychosocial assessment for mental health, substance abuse, co-occurring disorders, domestic violence and medical needs.
• Provides daily therapy sessions in a group and individual sessions as needed.
• Document in client records according to established protocol, including submitting reports as needed.
• Completes Master Treatment plans as required.
• Maintain client records in accordance with agency policy, confidentiality, and HIPAA laws.
• Develops and coordinates therapeutic treatment plans with the interdisciplinary team.
• Demonstrates application of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy techniques.
• Develops discharge plans using team input and chart information.
• Attends regular treatment team meetings to discuss progress and state/local agency requirements.
• Plans and prepares activities for patients with the interdisciplinary team.
• Upholds ethics and customer service standards.
• Performs other related duties as needed.
