Job summary

Highlands Community Services Board seeks an outpatient therapist to deliver comprehensive clinical assessments for consumers with DSM-5 diagnoses, including mental health, behavioral, and substance use presentations. You will also create and facilitate therapeutic groups and deliver individual, family, and couples counseling, with weekly supervision toward licensure for eligible candidates.

Location options include Abingdon and Bristol, VA, with a flexible 4-day work week and hybrid

Qualifications

• Master’s degree eligibility for Virginia licensure supervision requirement.
• Minimum two years’ mental health experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive clinical assessments for consumers with DSM-5 diagnoses.
• Create and facilitate therapeutic groups.
• Deliver individual, family, and couples counseling.
• Provide weekly clinical supervision toward licensure for eligible staff.

Education

Master’s degree eligible to seek Licensure for Supervision in Virginia or LPC, LCSW, LMFT

Job description

As an outpatient therapist at HCS you will enjoy a dynamic, fast-paced environment where no two days are ever the same. This opportunity allows you to provide comprehensive clinical assessments for consumers with an array of DSM-5 diagnoses including mental health, behavioral, and substance use presentations. You will also be able to create and facilitate therapeutic groups, deliver individual, family and couples counseling. Licensed eligible individuals will receive weekly clinical supervision toward licensure.

Position Specifics

Location: Positions at Abingdon & Bristol, VA

Status: Full-time, Exempt, Flexible schedules with 4-day work week and hybrid work from home options

Compensation: $55,000 - $57,000/$60,000 - $70,000 Licensed - Commensurate with education/experience.

Education: Master’s degree eligible to seek Licensure for Supervision in Virginia or LPC, LCSW, LMFT.

Experience: Two years’ experience in mental health preferred.
