Job summary

Newaygo County Mental Health is seeking a compassionate Outpatient Therapist to provide adult and child psychotherapy in an office-based setting. The role emphasizes trauma-informed care and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate care.

Qualifications include a Master’s degree in Social Work or Counseling and Michigan licensure (LLPC/LPC/LLMSW/LMSW/LLP). Preference for CAADC or Development Plan candidate, plus experience with youth and co-occurring disorders.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Social Work or Counseling (MSW, MA) is required.
• Current Michigan licensure (LLPC/LPC/LLMSW/LMSW/LLP) is required.
• Experience with youth and trauma-informed care approaches preferred.
• Experience with co-occurring disorders and MAT preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and family assessments and therapy sessions.
• Develop and implement person-centered treatment plans.
• Utilize evidence-based practices and therapeutic interventions.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to coordinate care.
• Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation.
• Support clients in identifying barriers and developing strategies for success.
• Use de-escalation and crisis intervention techniques when appropriate.
