Outpatient Therapist (Dual License w/ LCDC) -PRN - Katy Clinic

At West Oaks Outpatient Branches, we provide a broad continuum of outpatient mental health services for adolescents, adults and seniors. Our entire staff has been trained in a treatment model of social learning and positive reinforcement that promotes positive behaviors. Outpatient programs teach life skills and coping mechanisms intended to enrich patients’ lives.

West Oaks Outpatient Branches Houston is seeking a dedicated and positive Therapist to join our team of compassionate, dedicated professionals. The Outpatient Therapist will work with adults and adolescents who are experiencing a range of psychological and complex life experiences. The Therapist will also be responsible for collaborating with the patient, family/support, multidisciplinary team, outside providers, and community agencies to support and coordinate treatment and discharge planning. Outpatient Therapist will be responsible for continuing their personal development to enhance practice.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Complete Psychosocial Assessments, treatment Plan reviews, individual therapy, group therapy and family therapy sessions within established timeframes either face to face or telephonically with all patients, family and significant others.
  • Collaborates with multi-disciplinary team including physicians, RNs, Care Managers and other healthcare team members in crisis intervention; creating behavioral plans, case conferences, client centered interventions and discharge planning.
  • Conducts assigned therapeutic groups. Provides comprehensive education, instructions, advocacy information designed to assist the patient and significant others to identify and secure needed health care follow-up services.

Qualifications:

  • Education Required: Master’s Degree in Human Services related field. Preferred: Master’s in Social Work.
  • Licensure: LPC, LPC-A, LMFT, or LMSW with LCDC or LCDC-I. CPR and hospital de-escalation certifications.
  • Experience Required: One year of clinical experience in an inpatient psychiatric setting.
