Job summary

Mental Health America of Los Angeles is seeking LMSW or Resident Counselor therapists to provide individual, group, and play therapies, including Telehealth options. The role supports a wide range of patients with strong leadership backing and a payoff structure that includes guaranteed pay during ramp-up and ongoing benefits.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in social work or a behavioral science from an accredited college or university.
• Licensed mental health professional in the state of Virginia.
• Experience completing DAs, treatment plans, and clinical case notes.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate mental health diagnoses, create and implement treatment plans, and document case notes.
• Maintain a caseload of about 25 client sessions per week.
• Provide excellent client service and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.
• Utilize creative interventions to help clients achieve goals.
• Coordinate services with case managers, families, and school personnel.
• Attend clinical staff meetings and trainings.

We have immediate openings for LMSW or Resident Counselor therapists:

• Offer guaranteed pay for the initial 4 weeks as you ramp your caseload


• Provide Clinical supervision by VA state-licensed LCSW-C and LPC at no cost to you


• Ability to provide different types of therapy (individual, group, play, etc)

Responsibilities And Duties

• Evaluate mental health diagnosis, create and implement a treatment plan, and complete ongoing documentation including further diagnosis, treatment plan reviews, and case notes according to company policy


• Maintain a caseload of 25 client sessions per week


• Provide excellent customer service for clients and collaborate with a dynamic team to further the mission of filling gaps in our community


• Utilize creativity in interventions to help clients achieve and exceed goals


• Coordinate services with case managers, families, work personnel, medical personnel, other Ellie staff, and school staff as needed


• Attend and participate in all clinical staff meetings and training


• Other stuff we probably forgot to add but just as meaningful and important to your role

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Candidates are required to have a master’s degree in social work or one of the behavioral sciences or related fields from an accredited college or university.


• Required to be a licensed mental health professional in the state of Virginia.


• Required experience with completing DAs, treatment plans, and clinical case notes

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

• Prefer candidates with creative and innovative approaches to mental health


• Prefer experience with children, adolescents, and teens
