Base pay range

$62,000.00/yr - $70,000.00/yr

Program Overview:

Square Medical Group (SMG) is not your typical private behavioral health agency. As a family-owned organization deeply rooted in our community, our mission is to provide compassionate, person-centered care to those who need it most, especially individuals covered by MassHealth, the Commonwealth’s Medicaid program. While we accept both public and private insurance, nearly 70% of our clients are MassHealth recipients, and we treat each client with the dignity, respect, and the individualized attention they deserve.

Our approach is guided by two things we hear time and again from our clients:

1.“I’ve never been to a place like this before”

2.“You listen to us”

We also believe that great care for clients starts with great care for our team. That’s why we offer:

ØAttainable and sustainable productivity expectations, grounded in decades of clinical and administrative experience

ØRobust peer and supervisory support and mentorship, whether you are working in person or from home you will always be connected through secure messaging, Zoom, phone, and email

ØHybrid flexibility, allowing you to conduct sessions either remotely or in-office, depending on client preference and your own work-life needs

ØA diverse and meaningful caseload of clients managing mental health, substance use, and co-occurring conditions

Role Summary:

SMG is seeking a compassionate, clinically skilled, and mission-driven Outpatient Therapist to join our growing team. In this role, you will provide individual (and group) therapy to adult clients (ages 18+) experiencing mental health challenges, substance use disorders, or co-occurring conditions. You will work within a supportive, collaborative, and values-aligned environment that prioritizes person-centered care, clinical excellence, and access for underserved populations (particularly those insured by MassHealth).

As part of a team that truly listens to clients and colleagues, you will have the autonomy to tailor care to individual (and group) needs, backed by consistent clinical supervision and peer support. Whether working remotely or in person, you’ll benefit from a hybrid model designed to promote both flexibility and connection. With manageable productivity expectations and a focus on impact over volume, SMG offers the ideal setting for clinicians who want to make a real difference while growing in their practice.

This is more than a job, it is an opportunity to build a career delivering meaningful work alongside people who care deeply about our clients and each other. We know therapists thrive in environments that offer purpose, support, and growth. At SMG, we’ve built a culture that honors your clinical judgment, encourages your development, and ensures you feel part of a committed, mission-driven team. Please come to join us if you are seeking the following type of role:
