Job summary

Clinch Valley Health in Richlands, VA is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for Outpatient Surgery on a full-time Day shift with on-call requirements. The role is based at Clinch Valley Medical Center, serving the Richlands community.

You will perform patient assessments, initiate nursing interventions, document care, and contribute to the Interdisciplinary Care Plan. Virginia RN licensure (single-state or compact) and BLS are required; ACLS is preferred.

Qualifications

• Applicants should have an active Virginia RN license (single-state) or compact license. If relocating, licensure must be updated to the new Primary State of Residence (PSOR) before employment begins.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) is required within 30 days
• ACLS is preferred

Responsibilities

• Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs
• Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions
• Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient
• Performs timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record
• Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient
