Responsibilities

• Plans and administers medically prescribed physical therapy treatment to restore function and relieve pain.
• Reviews physician's referral and patient records to determine required therapy.
• Tests and measures strength, motor development, and functional capacity.
• Plans and prepares written treatment program based on evaluation and diagnoses.
• Instructs patients in home exercises and use of devices.
• Maintains treatment notes and progress in patient charts.
• Collaborates with physicians and staff to revise treatment plans.
• May plan and conduct lectures and training on physical therapy topics.
