Job summary

Ohio State University is seeking an Outpatient Specialty Pharmacist 3 to join the Ackerman/Rx OSU Specialty Pharmacy in Columbus. The role oversees planning, organization and evaluation of outpatient pharmaceutical services and guides pharmacists and technicians in daily operations.

The position emphasizes patient-centered care, safety reviews, and collaboration with physicians, nurses, and insurance providers to resolve complex cases and ensure high-quality care in a specialty setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy required.
• Registered Pharmacist required.
• 1 year of relevant experience required.
• 2-4 years of relevant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• medication order approval and distribution
• review of dose/route/frequency for therapy
• patient medication profile review for interactions and allergies
• patient counseling
• disease state management
• coordination with physicians and nurses
• effective communication with patients, insurers, and other health care providers
