Job summary

Ohio State University is seeking an Outpatient Specialty Pharmacist to oversee pharmacy services in the Ackerman location. You will coordinate outpatient dispensing for traditional and specialty meds, ensure safety, and support clinical review with the care team.

You will supervise pharmacy staff and participate in teaching, quality improvement, and department committees while maintaining expertise in your patient population.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy is required.
• Registered Pharmacist is required.
• 1 year of relevant experience is required.
• 2-4 years of relevant experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee planning, organization, and evaluation of outpatient pharmaceutical services.
• Approve medication orders and ensure correct dose, route, and duration of therapy.
• Review patient profiles for drug interactions, allergies, and appropriate regimens; counsel patients.
• Coordinate specialty pharmaceutical needs with physicians and nurses; communicate with insurance providers.
• Supervise technicians and contribute to teaching and quality-improvement activities.
