Job summary

South Sound Radiology in Olympia, WA is seeking a Sonographer to perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures with clinical expertise, independence, and patient focus in an outpatient setting.

The position requires graduation from an accredited ultrasound program, ARDMS registry, and current BLS/CPR; offers a Monday–Friday schedule with 4x10s or 5x8s, competitive pay, benefits, and opportunities for professional development.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Ultrasound Program - required.
• Active ARDMS registry.
• Current certification in a healthcare provider BLS/CPR.

Responsibilities

• Properly performs imaging to facility and ACR standards.
• Ability to physically assist patients to obtain high quality imaging.
• Assists radiologist with specialized procedures.
• Prepares sterile trays.
• Appropriately protocols and screens all orders in advance of appointments for precautions or contraindications.
• Provides patient care services in a professional and compassionate manner.
• Organizes and monitors patient flow to meet company productivity, quality, health and safety standards.
• Ability to de-escalate conflict situations with minimal supervisory assistance.
