Job summary

Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare is seeking an entry-level sonography professional to join our diagnostic imaging team. You will operate ultrasound equipment on patients to examine tissues and body structures, perform a variety of diagnostic exams, and help document results for referring physicians.

Required education includes a high school diploma and graduation from an accredited sonography program; BLS certification is required and multiple RDCS/AE/PE/RCS/RVT/RCCS credentials are acceptable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and graduation from an accredited sonography program.
• Required certification: Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Credentials acceptable: RDCS (AE/PE/FE), RVT, RCS, RCCS, or RVS.

Responsibilities

• Operates diagnostic imaging equipment on patients to examine tissue and body structures.
• Performs a variety of diagnostic sonographic examinations on adult and/or pediatric patients.
• Assists with cardiovascular diagnostic procedures including echocardiograms and carotid ultrasounds.
• Schedules and coordinates tests; maintains operational logs and patient records; ensures patient care and safety.
