Job summary

Norton Healthcare is seeking a Scheduler to coordinate outpatient diagnostic testing and surgical procedures for Norton Medical Group patients. You will work with doctors' offices and patients, gather demographic and insurance data, and process orders in EPIC or other systems as needed.

No prior experience is required as comprehensive on-the-job training is provided; a high school diploma or GED is required, and up to one year of scheduling or patient registration experience in healthcare is

Qualifications

• No experience required; on-the-job training provided.
• One year scheduling tests/procedures or patient registration experience in a healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

• Schedules patients for outpatient diagnostic testing and/or surgical procedures for Norton Medical Group patients.
• Instructs doctor's offices and/or patients regarding pre-procedure clinical preparations as required.
• Obtains basic demographic and insurance coverage information.
• Obtains and processes orders through EPIC electronic health record or other methods as necessary.
• Reviews orders to ensure information is complete and meets the criteria.
