Job summary

Yukon-Kuskokwim Health Corporation in Bethel is seeking a Registered Nurse for outpatient care on a PRN/ TDY basis. You will deliver patient care through the nursing process, coordinate with the care team, and support cultural considerations in a rural Alaska setting.

The role requires an Alaska RN license, NLN-approved nursing program, current BLS, and the ability to work flexible shifts. Prior hospital or clinic experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have completed a program of education in nursing from an NLN approved institution.
• Preferred one year experience in health care setting as a Registered Nurse.
• In addition, must be licensed in good standing in the State of Alaska as a Registered Professional Nurse.
• Current BLS.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of patient care through the nursing process of assessment, nursing diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Directing and coordinating nursing care for patients based on nursing practice standards.
• Collaborates with other healthcare professionals to provide quality, cost-effective and efficient care.
• Serves as a resource person when the situation requires.
• Applies age specific considerations and cultural diversity when rendering patient care.
• Supervise Unit secretaries and PCTs in collaboration with the Charge Nurse.
