Job summary

Inova Health in Northern Virginia seeks a dedicated Rheumatologist to deliver comprehensive, evidence-based care for autoimmune, inflammatory, and musculoskeletal conditions. You will collaborate with primary care and specialty teams to provide patient-centered care and improve function and quality of life.

Qualifications

Education: Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from an accredited institution.
Training: Completion of an ACGME-accredited Internal Medicine residency and Rheumatology fellowship.
Board Certification: Board certified in Internal Medicine and board certified or board eligible in Rheumatology by ABIM.
Licensure: Unrestricted Virginia license and DEA registration.
Payor Credentialing: Ability to credential with payors and enroll with Medicare/Medicaid.
Medical Staff Credentialing: Credentialing for Medical Staff membership and clinical privileges.

Responsibilities

Evaluate, diagnose, and manage a broad range of rheumatic diseases.
Develop individualized treatment plans using evidence-based therapies including conventional DMARDs, biologics, and targeted therapies.
Monitor disease activity, treatment response, and medication safety.
Perform joint aspirations and injections within training and privileges.
Collaborate with primary care and specialty services to address complex conditions.
