Orlando Health is seeking a dedicated and skilled Rheumatologist to join our new employed team. The Rheumatologist will be responsible for diagnosing and treating patients in an outpatient setting with rheumatic diseases, including arthritis, autoimmune diseases, and musculoskeletal disorders. This role involves providing high-quality patient care, participating in multidisciplinary meetings, and contributing to research and education initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and treat a variety of rheumatic diseases, including rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, osteoarthritis, and other autoimmune and musculoskeletal disorders.
- Perform and interpret diagnostic tests and procedures, such as joint injections, ultrasound-guided procedures, and biologic therapies.
- Provide consultations and second opinions on complex rheumatologic cases.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients, ensuring the highest standard of care.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including primary care physicians, orthopedic surgeons, and physical therapists, to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and tumor boards to discuss patient cases and treatment plans.
- Stay current with advancements in rheumatology to continuously improve patient care.
- Engage in research initiatives and contribute to the advancement of the field of rheumatology.
- Educate patients and their families about rheumatic diseases and treatment options.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care and diagnostic results.
Qualifications:
- MD, DO, or MD/PhD with American Board of Internal Medicine Certification in Rheumatology.
- Open to new and experienced Rheumatologist with a proven track record of clinical excellence in rheumatology.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to advancing the field of rheumatology through research and education.
