Job summary

Jefferson Radiology in the Greater Connecticut area is seeking a patient scheduling specialist to coordinate appointments across multiple offices and modalities, ensuring accuracy and timely access to care.

You will handle direct patient and referring physician contact, maintain professional service standards, and support the practice with a friendly, dependable presence. Ethical, patient-first communication is essential in this outpatient imaging setting.

Qualifications

• Experience with scheduling and/or medical billing apps preferred.
• Excellent dictation, communication, and telephone manners.
• Good understanding of ICD coding and medical insurance.

Responsibilities

• Schedule patients for multiple offices and modalities in a timely, accurate manner.
• Demonstrate understanding of modalities offered at site locations and hours of operation.
• Direct patient and referring physician contact, maintaining a pleasant and professional demeanor.
• Represent the practice in a courteous, professional manner at all times.

POSITION SUMMARY:

• Responsible for timely and effective scheduling of patients for multiple offices and modalities
• Demonstrate an understanding of modalities offered at site location and hours of operations
• Modalities include Mammography, Bone Density, Fluoroscopy, Ultrasound, MRI, CT, and Nuclear Medicine
• Direct patient and referring physician contact and accountable for always representing the practice in a pleasant and professional manner

DESIRED PROFESSIONAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Experience with scheduling and/or medical billing application preferred
• Excellent dictation, communication skills, and telephone manner
• Good understanding of ICD coding preferred
• Knowledge of medical insurance preferred

COMPENSATION & TOTAL REWARDS

The hourly range for this position is$18.00-$24.00 Final determinations may vary based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications,geographic locationetc. Final compensation is determined based on education, experience, certifications, and geographic factors.
