Job summary

AdventHealth in Winter Park, Florida is hiring a registered nurse for full-time day shift. Eligible clinicians may earn salary increases up to 20% through our Clinical Ladder Program based on experience, development, and advancement criteria.

Responsibilities include assessing patients, developing care plans, administering medications, educating families, and coordinating with the care team. Florida background screening applies; equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• RN license required; BLS required.
• 1+ acute care hospital setting/oncology experience preferred.
• ASN required; BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients’ physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans, evaluating and revising as needed.
• Administer medications and treatments following physician orders and hospital protocols; monitor for adverse reactions.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, and self-care.
• Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate patient care.
• Maintain accurate documentation in the medical record.

Job Description: Grow with us. Schedule: Full time Shift: Monday -Friday 8am-4:30pm, no weekends or holidays. Location: Winter Park

Primary Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors of patients.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and standards of care, regularly evaluating and revising these plans as necessary.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely, following physician orders and hospital protocols, and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, medications, and self-care strategies to promote understanding and compliance.
• Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate and optimize patient care, ensuring effective communication and teamwork.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient information, care activities, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Organizational and multi-tasking skills
• Knowledge of nursing care methods and procedures

• Effective verbal and oral communication and problem-solving skills
• EKG competency
• Must be fluent in English (read, verbal and written skills)
• Basic computer skills – must be able to navigate Microsoft windows based programs
• Must be able to use a high level of abstract reasoning to assess patient, evaluate interventions, and revise plan of care according to patient outcomes

Education:

• Associate's of Nursing [Required]
• Bachelor's of Nursing [Preferred]

Work Experience:

• 1+ acute care hospital setting/ oncology [Preferred]

Licenses and Certifications:

• Registered Nurse (RN) [Required]
• Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]

Pay Range: $31.85 - $52.76
