The professional registered nurse Outpatient RN CAP 1 is an entry-level position in the Clinical Advancement Program (CAP). This role involves providing and coordinating clinically competent care, including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients. It may include delegating tasks to care staff such as RNs, LVN/LPNs, and Patient Care Technicians. As part of the End Stage Kidney Disease (ESKD) team, this position participates in decision-making, teaching, leadership, and quality improvement activities to enhance patient outcomes and facility operations.
The physical demands include heavy lifting, moving patients, prolonged standing, and equipment handling up to 200 lbs. The environment is a healthcare setting with potential exposure to infectious materials. The role involves desk and computer work, patient and staff interaction, and possible travel.
Oversight of care staff after meeting training and experience requirements, including a minimum of 9 months RN experience and 3 months in hemodialysis.
