The Outpatient RN CAP 1 is an entry-level nursing role within the Clinical Advancement Program, responsible for providing and coordinating patient care in a Hemodialysis setting.

Key duties include: performing patient assessments and data collection pre-, during-, and post-treatment, adjusting care plans accordingly, administering medications, and ensuring safe delivery of therapy in collaboration with healthcare team members.

The role involves patient education, emergency response, laboratory procedures, and participation in quality improvement activities.

Qualifications: graduate of an accredited nursing program, current state licensure, CPR/BLS certification, with less than two years of nephrology nursing experience preferred.

The position requires physical stamina for patient handling, standing, and equipment movement, working in a healthcare environment with exposure to infectious materials, and occasional travel.

Supervisory responsibilities may include oversight of care staff after meeting experience and training requirements.
