Job summary

OhioHealth in Columbus, OH, is seeking an experienced RN to join our Neurology team specializing in Multiple Sclerosis care. In this outpatient role, you will support a complex patient population, guide long-term treatment plans, and coordinate care across a multidisciplinary team.

The ideal candidate has strong clinical judgment, experience in ambulatory settings, and comfort with insurance processes and prior authorizations. Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm, no weekends or holidays.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
• Current Ohio RN license in good standing (multi-state compact preferred).
• BLS certification required at time of hire.
• Experience in ambulatory care or neuro-related specialty is preferred.
• Ability to navigate insurance processes and prior authorizations.

Responsibilities

• Provide general nursing care to outpatients in the Neuro MS program.
• Triage calls and electronic messages; coordinate care and scheduling.
• Assist with prior authorizations for medications and procedures.
• Support documentation for disability paperwork and durable medical equipment as needed.
• Collaborate with providers in a multidisciplinary team to plan care.

Your work will include handling prior authorizations for medications and procedures, assisting with disability paperwork and durable medical equipment needs, and supporting infusion approvals and denials. You will triage patient calls and electronic messages, assess symptoms, and collaborate with providers to determine appropriate next steps, including urgent visits or escalation of care.
