Job summary

CommonSpirit Health's Saint Joseph East in Lexington, KY is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver compassionate, high-quality care and support patient recovery in a fast-paced hospital setting.

You will perform assessments, implement care plans, collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, administer medications and therapies, and strive for optimal patient outcomes while upholding patient autonomy and dignity.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Registered Nurse licensed in Kentucky upon hire.
• Basic Life Support (CPR) certification upon hire.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Performs assessments and analyzes patient conditions to determine need for standard, urgent or emergent interventions.
• Administers medications, IV therapy, and treatments in accordance with policies and procedures.
• Implements and coordinates plans of care with nursing care coordination, education, and discharge planning.
• Delivers care with attention to ethical provisions, patient autonomy, dignity and rights.
• Evaluates progress toward attainment of patient outcomes.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient care.
