Job summary

Cleveland Clinic’s Digestive Disease Institute is seeking a Registered Dietitian for a PRN role with a remote day-to-work-from-home option. The position involves providing medical nutrition therapy, counseling, and diet management to patients, with on-site and remote work options Monday to Friday around 8:00am–4:30pm for about 20 hours per week.

Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in nutrition or related field, active RD certification, and current state licensure.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized medical nutrition therapy, education and counseling to patients.

• Write changes for diet orders, initiate nutrient intake assessments, assess patients for nutritional deficiencies, evaluate fluids and electrolytes, review laboratory and clinical progress notes and inform physicians of their patients’ nutritional status and need for diet changes.
• Create and revise education materials, participate in program development, and develop, implement and market services.
• Support the dietetic internship program as a supervised practice rotation preceptor and class instructor.

PRN role offering a remote day to work from home

This is a PRN role offering a remote day to work from home. A caregiver in this position works Monday through Friday between 8:00am and 4:30pm averaging about 20 hours per week. Caregivers can work 2 or 3 days on-site with 1 day working remotely from home.

A caregiver who excels in this role will:

• Provide individualized medical nutrition therapy, education and counseling to patients.

• Bachelor’s degree in nutrition, dietetics or a related field
• Current licensure to practice dietetics in the current state (LD)
• Active certification as a Registered Dietitian (RD)

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

• One year of experience as a Registered Dietitian in clinical nutrition OR successful completion of CCF Dietetic Internship Program

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to navigate extensively to provide services to a large number of patients throughout the hospital and manual dexterity sufficient to perform computer entry.
• Must have physical ability to measure and weigh patients.

Personal Protective Equipment:

• Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.

Pay Range

• Minimum hourly: $36.00
• Maximum hourly: $36.00
