Company Description: Caroline Thomason Nutrition Consulting is a group insurance-based private practice based in Warrenton, Virginia. We are a telehealth private practice specializing in treating chronic disease. We have dietitians who hold certifications in a range of nutrition practice areas, from diabetes and healthy habit coaching to pediatrics and eating disorders.

Role Description

This is a virtual, contractor role for an Outpatient Registered Dietitian. The RD will be responsible for providing nutritional counseling, medical nutrition therapy, and nutrition guidance to individuals.

This role has the capacity to grow into a full-time position, or it can be part-time if preferred. The ideal candidate will be able to commit at least 15-20 hours per week to this role.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 3 years of experience in Nutritional Counseling and Medical Nutrition Therapy preferred
• Exceptional communication and counseling skills, including Motivational Interviewing skills
• Access to reliable internet for conducting counseling via telehealth
• Language: English, Bilingual Spanish a huge plus!

Job Duties:

• Perform nutrition assessments and ongoing counseling utilizing evidence-based medical nutrition therapy for clients (adolescents and adults)
• Responsible for all aspects of case management: charting, confirming payment, scheduling follow-up appointments, referrals
• Develop goals and plans with clients, monitor progress and make adjustments as needed
• Collaborate with clients’ healthcare team as needed, including therapists, psychiatrists, primary care physicians and specialists
• Compliance with the RDN code of ethics and professional expectations from CDR.
