Job summary

Prime Healthcare is seeking an Outpatient Referral Coordinator for our North Flower Mound outpatient therapy location in Flower Mound, TX. The role manages referrals, verifies insurance, secures authorizations, and supports daily clinic operations including scheduling and patient communications.

The position requires a High School credential and 1 year of medical office experience with knowledge of insurance verification processes.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• One year of medical office experience.
• Knowledge of standard insurance companies and verification requirements.
• Familiar with medical billing, insurances and program processes.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage incoming and outgoing patient referrals and coordinate with other departments
• Verify insurance coverage, obtain required authorizations, and confirm patient demographic information
• Schedule appointments and assist with patient check-in and registration
• Answer incoming calls and communicate referral or appointment information to patients and providers
• Maintain patient charts, records, and other administrative documentation

We are seeking anOutpatient Referral Coordinator,sometimes referred to asPatient Referral CoordinatororMedical Referral Coordinator.TheOutpatientReferral Coordinator manages referral activities for assigned clinics while helping ensureaccuratepatient, insurance, andauthorizationinformation. This role also supports daily clinic operations through scheduling, patient communication, record management, and other administrative duties.
