ARA Diagnostic Imaging in Austin, TX is seeking a dedicated EMT to support outpatient imaging services within Radiology Partners. You will assess patients, provide direct care, and assist with IV starts and contrast injections as needed, ensuring patient comfort and safety throughout the exam process.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the EMT program approved by the State Department of Health Services.
• Current AHA Basic Life Support certification.
• Proficient in EMT skills including patient assessment, IV access and oral/written communication.
• Minimum of 1 year EMT experience in a healthcare setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain consistent clinical workflow to facilitate uninterrupted patient care.
• Assess patients to obtain medical history, medications, allergies, and screening for contraindications.
• Provide direct patient care, advocacy, and meet physical and emotional needs of patients.
• In insertions/removal of IV catheters and assist with contrast material injections as needed, monitor patient post-exam.
• Prepare exam rooms and assist with setting up for requested imaging procedures.
