Job summary

Independence Health System is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform radiographic, phlebotomy and EKG exams in outpatient settings. You will follow protocols, maintain safety standards, document patient history and charge exams in RIS/HIS, and ensure accurate orders are fulfilled.

Qualifications include ARRT-recognized radiologic program, 0–1 year of experience, phlebotomy training, and strong communication and organizational skills. Willingness to travel between sites is expected.

Qualifications

• Completion of a JRCERT-accredited Radiologic Technology Program recognized by the ARRT.
• 0–1 year of experience as a Radiographic Technologist.
• On-the-job phlebotomy and registration training completed.
• High School Diploma, GED or higher education.
• Strong leadership, organization, independent and critical thinking skills.
• Strong ability to communicate complex topics to diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Performs quality exams according to established protocols.
• Adheres to radiation safety guidelines and dose reduction.
• Documents clinical history and charges exams in HIS/RIS.
• Performs operator equipment checks and quality control testing.
• Cross-trains for registration, EKG and phlebotomy as needed.
• Verifies patient identity and orders; positions patients for images.
• Maintains equipment and workstation in optimum condition.
• Travels locally between System locations.
