Job summary

Medical University of South Carolina seeks a radiologic technologist to perform diagnostic radiologic examinations with a focus on image quality, patient safety, and efficient workflow. You will complete patient screening, exam documentation, and image verification in RIS and PACS to support timely physician interpretation.

Education requires graduation from an accredited school of radiologic technology, ARRT registration within 6 months of hire, SC licensure, and BLS (ACLS preferred).

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of radiologic technology.
• ARRT registration within 6 months of hire.
• Licensure from the SC Radiation Quality Standards Association is required.
• Current BLS required; ACLS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic radiologic examinations per established protocols with focus on image quality, patient safety, and workflow efficiency.

$10,000 sign-on bonus + up to $5,000 relocation assistance available

Performs radiographic procedures at a technical level requiring sound understanding of anatomical positioning and physiology, a high degree of technical competency, and with the ability to act with initiative and ingenuity with a minimum of supervision. Apply ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis in adult and/or pediatric radiology. Other duties as deemed necessary.

Job Description

Participates in staff meetings, lunch and learns, and quality meetings.

Additional Job Description

Education: Graduation from an accredited school of radiologic technology. Experience: Zero to two years of modality specific work experience. Registration/Certification: Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) within 6 months of hire. Licensure from the South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association is required. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required, either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
