Job summary

Family Care Center in Smyrna, TN seeks a Psychiatrist to provide therapy and/or medication management for patients under their care. The role emphasizes outpatient psychiatry with a collaborative, multidisciplinary team and a commitment to evidence-based practice.

The position offers a flexible schedule with opportunities for full-time, part-time, or PRN work, and a strong benefits package including relocation support and generous PTO.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree required.
• Current medical license in state of practice.
• Current and unrestricted DEA registration in the state of practice.
• ABMS certification.
• ACGME-accredited residency in psychiatry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide therapy and/or medication management to identify, diagnose, and treat patients under their care.
• Conduct diagnostic assessments using bio-psycho-social model through discussion, observation, and analysis.
• Identify psychiatric conditions according to DSM-5.
• Develop comprehensive treatment plans through multidisciplinary collaboration.
• Initiate and manage psychopharmacologic treatments.
• Order and evaluate laboratory and other diagnostic test results.
• Coordinate with healthcare professionals when hospitalization is required.
• Provide psychoeducation to patients and families when clinically appropriate.
• Work with medical assistants to streamline clinical workflow and improve patient experience.
