Job summary

Horizon Health in Illinois is seeking a dedicated Outpatient Psychiatrist to join our growing team. You will evaluate, diagnose, and treat adults and/or adolescents with a range of mental health disorders, while collaborating with a multidisciplinary group of professionals.

In this role you will provide psychotherapy, manage medications, document in the EHR, and contribute to a comprehensive care plan. We offer a strong benefits package, relocation support, and loan forgiveness options.

Qualifications

• Board-certified or board-eligible psychiatrist licensed in Illinois.
• Experience evaluating, diagnosing, and treating adults and/or adolescents.
• Ability to collaborate with licensed therapists, social workers, and medical staff in a team-based setting.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and clinical interviews for adult and/or adolescent patients.
• Formulate, implement, and adjust individualized treatment and medication plans.
• Monitor treatment efficacy and side effects, updating care as needed.
• Maintain accurate and timely EHR documentation.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team and support Advanced Practice Providers.

Hospital Information

We are a critical access hospital and group of rural health clinics, butmuch larger in scope and size than typical rural organizations. We havecutting-edge technology, new offerings for the communities we serve, strongspecialty and primary care support, and still have the small-town approachand values that make our organization so special. In 2024/2025, we completedmajor renovations to our Emergency Department, added primary care clinicsin Tilton and Marshall, Illinois, and expanded physical therapy servicesinto Terre Haute, Indiana.

Behavioral Health Information

• We are seeking a compassionate, board-certified or board-eligiblePsychiatrist who is licensed in Illinois to join our growing team.
• This role will evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with a wide rangeof mental health and behavioral disorders, manage medication regimens,provide psychotherapy, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team.
• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and clinical interviews foradult and/or adolescent patients.
• Formulate, implement, and adjust individualized treatment and medicationmanagement plans.
• Monitor treatment efficacy, side effects, and patient progress toward recovery goals.
• Maintain accurate, timely electronic health record (EHR) documentation.
• Collaborate closely with licensed therapists, social workers, and medicalstaff in a team-based environment.
• Provide collaboration for behavioral health Advance Practice Providers.

Salary range:$280-$400K, commensurate with experience, qualifications, and the potentialto contribute to the growth and success of the practice.
